- Day two: A look back at the history of the internet in Africa to help us shape a positive future. Addressing Internet governance, human rights, data protection.

Day 1 May 22 | Introduction to Internet Governance Scope: Evolution of the Internet and overview of Internet Governance processes. This session helps explain the multistakeholder process and emphasises the need for increased engagement in continental Internet policy. Format: Presentation followed by an interactive discussion. We will broadly explore the main issues and actors involved in Internet governance at a National, regional and global level. Day 2 May23 | Internet Governance Process at the Regional, Continental and Global levels: Format: Presentation followed by an interactive discussion. Scope: This session provides a high high-level overview of the history of Internet governance, its processes and impacts. We will have a conversation looking backwards in order to move forward in addressing Internet governance issues on global and regional levels. Scope: This session provides detail on how the Internet’s infrastructure works and who operates it.
